The Mazda CX-30 is the Newest SUV to Join the Lineup at Our Dealership!

You know what any new Mazda SUV brings to the roads near Centreville and Sterling: lots of safety features, premium styling inside and out, and the levels of smooth performance and solid fuel efficiency that you'll really appreciate during your travels. The latest Mazda tech keeps you safe and connected, and plenty of amenities like leather upholstery, sunroofs and more add to the mix, offering complete setups that lead to safe driving and enjoyable riding for your passengers. But if something was lacking from our Chantilly, VA Mazda dealership's SUV lineup, it was a crossover that nicely fit between the compact Mazda CX-3 and the mid-sized Mazda CX-5. Now with the all-new Mazda CX-30 joining the fold, that missing piece is being added to the mix, with a smartly designed and highly useful crossover coming up at the end of the year.

As Mazda's closest competitors ramp up their SUV lineups, with many adding large, three-row models to the fold, our favorite brand here in Chantilly is looking toward the more versatile, efficient and sensible small crossover to bring out to the roads in Virginia. The Mazda CX-30 is an all-new model, and while you'd think it'd be called the Mazda CX-4, since it fits between the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5, that name has already been taken by a different model overseas. Instead, you get an all-new model with its own unique name and badging, but with plenty of the family Mazda qualities and features fans of the brand have come to love over the years. Being a brand-new model in our lineup, you can expect the Mazda CX-30 to include some unique and all-new features to the fold. What we do know is that the following are sure to be included in the all-new SUV:

  • Nimble and maneuverable driving experience
  • Generous luggage compartment, up to 430 liters
  • Skyactiv-G 2.0 Gasoline engine offering fuel efficiency & eco-friendliness
  • Spacious cabin that makes driving or riding comfortable & enjoyable
  • Mazda Connect System, first released in the 2019 Mazda3
  • The most advance Human-Machine Interface (HMI), with an 8.8-inch wide-screen center display.
  • 12-speaker Bose system including an 8cm center speaker

Performance and Capabilities

When Mazda first announced the all-new SUV was being released, there were plenty of guesses about what will be under the hoods and the different engines that might be available. Our Mazda dealership does know that you'll have your choice of a Skyactiv-G 2.5 gasoline engine and Skyactive-D 1.8 diesel engine, and even a hybrid version. While the mystery around exact horsepower or torque remains, we're sure that the Mazda CX-30 will be powerful alongside the other models in their lineup.

Along with any of the engine options that become available when this new model is released, we know that the Mazda CX-30 will also offer an AWD setup, call the i-Activ AWD, just like some of the other new Mazda SUVs and cars. This new technology will help you maintain your traction and control and safe driving when the D.C. and northern Virginia areas get hit with heavy rains or snow.

Safety and Technology

Being made by Mazda inherently means that it will be loaded with amazing tech features. You'll get the usual suspects for safety like a full airbag system throughout the cabin, along with some of Mazda's driver aids, including an all-new driver monitoring system that will keep you attentive and ready for the challenges of the road. Other safety features will include systems like forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and more. Some of the recently highlighted safety features are:

  • i-Activsense, with Mazda's state-of-the-art Driver Monitoring system
  • Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), for forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking
  • Mazda's Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) system
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Knee airbag for the driver's seat for added driver safety

As for infotainment, that's another area where Mazda's SUVs excel, and the upcoming CX-30 is bound to be no exception. Being a late release this year, the Mazda CX-30 will get updated infotainment system, which includes an 8.8-inch display screen with a revised menu for ease of use and more options. Unlike many modern SUVs that include touchscreen technology, the Mazda CX-30 and other models' infotainment features are controlled through a smartly placed center console knob near your gear shifter, allowing you to maintain your sightline on the road without fussing with a touchscreen's options.
